Yoga Classes

Hatha yoga fosters health, happiness and wellbeing through focused movement of the body and breath. The deep stretches and flowing motions of this ancient art calm the mind, heal the body and energize the spirit. Considered a form of meditation through movement, yoga strengthens the body while melting away long-held tensions that obstruct our natural vitality. Consistent practice has the power to unleash rich and creative streams of energy from deep inside, inspiring a profound sense of health, wholeness, ease and illumination.

Meditation offers the mind an opportunity to grow still, clear and calm. The skills gained through this quiet and introspective practice promote a focused mind that responds to the world’s events with greater wisdom, compassion and understanding. And this fosters a deepening sense of happiness, contentment and peace.

I believe that yoga and meditation can serve as healing balms in our over-stressed, over-caffeinated world. And I'm committed to sharing the gifts of these ancient practices with those around her. I welcome the opportunity to teach yoga and meditation to children, teens, adults and senior citizens in both group and private sessions.

My classes include physical movements, breathing practices and meditation techniques. Explorations are fueled by the breath, nourished by mindfulness and supported by vivid imagery that helps the poses emerge organically from within. Teachings are offered in an individualized approach, sensitive to each person’s needs in a way that makes yoga and meditation accessible to most everyone.

I currently teach mixed-level yoga classes on Wednesday mornings and Thursday evenings in Mansfield. These classes are open to all.
