MOVING LIKE SILK: A GENTLE INTRODUCTION TO QIGONG

In this short and sweet movement class we’ll explore gentle practices that strengthen the body, free the breath and steady the mind. Qigong, or Taoist yoga, is a centuries-old discipline that can be practiced by nearly everyone. (You can learn more about the practice here.) We meet outside amid the beauty of the season, with an indoor location in case of inclement weather, and no special clothing or props are required. The sessions are freely offered, and a donation basket is left out for those who would like to support the program. Stop in for a quick evening pick-me-up, or use the practice as a prelude to Monday night meditation, which begins directly after this class.

Explore the power of calming the mind and relaxing into the present moment, in a beautiful setting among friends. Our meetings are open to both new and experienced meditators, and include instruction, discussion and practice. No registration is required - simply join us when you are able. Are you looking for ways to stay calm, bright and inspired into spring and beyond? Please join us as we stretch, strengthen, breathe and rest, using the principles and practices of yoga and other ancient spiritual traditions. All levels are welcome, and students are encouraged to tailor the sessions to suit their own needs.​ The sessions are freely offered, and a donation basket is left out for those who would like to support the program.

If you are looking for individualized guidance, if you have a special need, if you want to study techniques not offered in public classes, or if you need flexibility in scheduling, Claudia is available to offer private and semi-private classes. For eons, this was the only way yoga was taught, allowing the practice to be shared in a particularly potent and personalized way!
